Our team redesigned MoMA’s existing MOOC course, Modern Art and Ideas (MAI). We analyzed our learners from various perspectives. We analyzed course takers who have enrolled and taken the course on Coursera and learners who might be interested in taking the course in the future. Of our 81,915 learners from 190 countries, 62% were adult learners between the age group of 18 to 34 yrs with varying educational backgrounds. On finding the problem and needs of our online learners, we designed new learning goals and objectives and re-designed existing activities, and designed new activities to create more engagement.
